| The sense organs of reptiles are adapted to function in a terrestrial environment. They help them find food, distinguish between their own and someone else’s species. The most important role in the spatial orientation and communication of animals is played by keen eyesight and a subtle sense of smell. Most species of reptiles with daytime activity have color vision, which creates additional opportunities for them to recognize living organisms.
