What substances are called semiconductors?

Semiconductors are materials that occupy an intermediate place between conductors and dielectrics in conductivity, and differ from conductors by a strong dependence of conductivity on the concentration of impurities, temperature and exposure to various types of radiation. The main property of semiconductors is the increase in electrical conductivity with increasing temperature.
Remember: The process of learning a person lasts a lifetime. The value of the same knowledge for different people may be different, it is determined by their individual characteristics and needs. Therefore, knowledge is always needed at any age and position.
