Venous – dark colored blood, uniform bleeding; stops by applying a tourniquet below the wound and a pressure bandage. Arterial – a pulsating stream of scarlet blood, the danger of large blood loss; squeeze the vessel above the site of injury, apply a pressure bandage and tourniquet. Internal – bleeding into the chest, cranial, abdominal cavity, the most dangerous; in a semi-seated position and with a cold compress at the site of injury, the patient is urgently delivered to the doctor.
