What ways of adaptation to seasonal changes in environmental conditions have animals developed?

There are three ways of adaptation: active, passive and avoidance of adverse influences. The active path includes maintaining a constant body temperature (warm-blooded) and the accumulation of moisture reserves. The passive includes hibernation, torpor and suspended animation. Migration belongs to the avoidance of adverse impacts.
