Archaeologists have also unearthed burials in which they discovered fabulous wealth. The Greeks of that time, like the inhabitants of the countries of the Ancient East, believed that after death, people continue to live in another world. In the graves of the Mycenaean kings, there were many things of gold, silver, ivory: jewelry, dishes, weapons. But the most surprising finds were golden masks. They covered the faces of the dead and were probably their portraits. Looking at the masks, we can imagine what these kings looked like.
