When and how did the industrial revolution take place in England? Name the phenomena that indicate the end of the industrial revolution. What political system has existed in England since the end of the 17th century? Describe the role of England in the international arena.
England was the first state to experience such a transition at the end of the 18th century. This particular country was the birthplace of the steam engine, spinning machines, machine tools and new technologies used in metallurgy. All these inventions have allowed Great Britain to become a true “workshop of the world”, providing its goods to the entire globe – from Australia to South America.
However, the industrial revolution did not mean a simple modernization of the manufacturing sector. He marked the beginning of a new era with its inherent rhythm of life, way of thinking and social structure.
Among the most important prerequisites for the industrial revolution is the English bourgeois revolution, which removed obstacles to the development of capitalist relations. It opened the way for the rapid growth of productive forces, established bourgeois land ownership, gave a powerful impetus to the agrarian revolution, and accelerated the formation of the national market. There was a transition from a medieval feudal monarchy to a bourgeois monarchy. The established political union of the land and financial aristocracy was long-term and relatively strong. This alliance, which later turned into an alliance of landowners and the entire bourgeois class, ensured the relative stability of the English monarchy. At the same time, the aristocracy, while maintaining the monopoly of political power, took into account the interests of the bourgeoisie.
