| The tales “One Thousand and One Nights” were recorded at the end of the 8th century in Baghdad under Caliph Harun al-Rashid, but they were invented earlier by different peoples of the Caliphate, mainly Arabs and Persians. The name of Shehrezada is Persian, meaning “princess”.
