| The Earth moves in orbit at different speeds near perihelion and aphelion. Therefore, from the vernal equinox (March 21), which we will consider as the beginning of the day at the North Pole, to the autumn equinox (September 23), taken as the end of the northern polar day, 187 days pass. And from September 23 to March 21 (day at the South Pole) – 179 days.
