| When viewed from Earth, even galaxies of the same type (spiral, irregular or elliptical) have a different color (different color indices). What does it depend on?
The color of galaxies depends: 1) on the absorption of light in our Galaxy; 2) from the distance of the galaxy (i.e. from the redshift); 3) from the activity of star formation in the galaxy.
