When water bodies become contaminated with waste products, heavy metal compounds that accumulate in living organisms enter the water. Explain in which part of the food chain presented and why the concentration of these substances reaches a maximum level. Phytoplankton → zooplankton → roach → perch → pike → piscivorous bird.
1) the greatest accumulation will be in the body of the fish-eating bird;
2) piscivorous bird – the last link in the food chain.
