In the 13th century, France and Italy had the largest number of universities. By the beginning of the 16th century, Germany had overtaken all other countries in terms of the number of universities, since every independent prince (and there were dozens of them in Germany) wanted to have a university in his domain – it was fashionable.
Remember: The process of learning a person lasts a lifetime. The value of the same knowledge for different people may be different, it is determined by their individual characteristics and needs. Therefore, knowledge is always needed at any age and position.
