| One of these galaxies is our Galaxy, visible as the Milky Way. We look at it from the inside, so it appears as a light streak in the night sky. The next galaxy is the famous Andromeda Nebula. Its integral brightness is 4m, 3, and it is visible to the naked eye in the form of a luminous spot with the largest angular size of 0o.25. In addition to these galaxies, the satellites of our Galaxy, the Large and Small Magellanic Clouds, are clearly visible in the southern sky.
