| The earth is flattened at the poles, but the magnitude of the polar radii is not the same. The northern semiaxis is about 100 km longer than the southern one. Therefore, the South Pole is closer to the center of the Earth. Some authors believe that the North Pole is closer to the center, since it is located in the Arctic Ocean, and the South Pole is on the mainland Antarctica, covered with a powerful glacier. This would be true if the Earth were in the shape of a ball.
Answer: South Pole
