Why are jet engines used for space flights?

| In space, you can only use a jet engine, because there is only vacuum and helium, and their density is too low to create thrust for other engines, and a jet engine creates thrust for itself.
In outer space, it is impossible to use any other engines besides jet ones: there is no support (solid, liquid or gaseous), pushing off from which the spacecraft could get acceleration.
