Why are modern space rockets composed of several stages?

The idea of multistage missiles – “rocket trains” – was put forward by KE Tsiolkovsky. With the successive dropping of parts of the rocket body, significant fuel savings occur. Chemical rockets reaching cosmic speeds can only be multi-stage.
Remember: The process of learning a person lasts a lifetime. The value of the same knowledge for different people may be different, it is determined by their individual characteristics and needs. Therefore, knowledge is always needed at any age and position.
