Why are the phenomena of phagocytosis and pinocytosis very common in animal cells and practically absent in plant cells and fungal cells?

The cells of plants and fungi have a cell wall, which is absent in animals. This allows the cytoplasmic membrane to absorb water with mineral salts (pinocytosis) due to its greater elasticity. Due to this property, the process of phagocytosis is carried out – the capture of solid particles.
