Why are two lamps connected in series burning weaker than one with the same current source?

Two lamps connected in series burn weaker than one. since when connected in series, the resistance of the conductors is added, i.e. the more conductors in a circuit are connected in series, the greater the resistance of the circuit, the lower the current.
