Why can’t open vessels be used to store liquid on a manned spacecraft in free flight?

| The liquid cannot be poured into the vessel in the usual way due to its lack of weight. The vessel can only be filled from a reservoir with elastic walls. With any, even a very small, push, the liquid body will turn into a ball, which, when colliding with the walls, will be crushed into smaller balls floating in the atmosphere of the ship.
