Why did the Roman Church not allow worship in languages other than Latin? Did this contribute to the spread of Christianity and the growth of the authority of the Pope?
The Roman Church tried to build around itself a “Catholic International” of independent barbarians, united only by a uniform worship, which was conducted in Latin.
Remember: The process of learning a person lasts a lifetime. The value of the same knowledge for different people may be different, it is determined by their individual characteristics and needs. Therefore, knowledge is always needed at any age and position.
