Why did Wat Tyler’s rebellion end in failure? Did he have any positive results?

Wat Tyler and his associates were ordinary soldiers: they did not know how to command an army or make political decisions. Therefore, King Richard II easily deceived the rebels. However, after that, the king had to somewhat alleviate the situation of the peasants, since the Hundred Years War was still going on and the peasant archers were needed.
