Why do plants with green color live on the surface of water bodies, and red at sea depths?

1) On the surface of water bodies green pigments – chlorophylls absorb light rays.
2) Not all rays of the light spectrum penetrate to the great depths of the seas, but only blue and violet.
3) These rays are absorbed by red and yellow pigments, so algae become red
