Why do terrestrial mammals have auricles, while in aquatic and soil mammals they do not have or are they reduced?

1) The air density is low and animals have auricles in order to capture sound waves.
2) Water and soil have a high density and the sounds in them are well distributed.
3) Auricles in water and soil impede the movement of animals.
Remember: The process of learning a person lasts a lifetime. The value of the same knowledge for different people may be different, it is determined by their individual characteristics and needs. Therefore, knowledge is always needed at any age and position.
