| Ions of certain metals (Mg, Ca, Fe, Zn, Cu, Mn, Mo, Br, Co) are components of many enzymes, hormones and vitamins or activate them. For example, Fe ion is part of the blood hemoglobin, Zn ion – the hormone insulin. With their deficiency, the most important processes of cell activity are disrupted.
