Why does the sex of a child depend on the father and not on the mother?

1) The sex of a person is determined by sex chromosomes: female XX, male XY. 2) All female gametes carry an X chromosome, and male gametes are of two types – with an X or Y chromosome. 3) The gender of the child depends on which male gamete merges with the egg.
Remember: The process of learning a person lasts a lifetime. The value of the same knowledge for different people may be different, it is determined by their individual characteristics and needs. Therefore, knowledge is always needed at any age and position.
