| Why does vaporization during boiling occur at a constant temperature, and vaporization during evaporation (for example, when drying clothes) with decreasing temperature?
Boiling occurs at a constant temperature, because the boiling point corresponds to the temperature of the saturated vapor contained in the bubbles that rise from the bottom of the vessel. The temperature of the liquid decreases during evaporation, because molecules with high kinetic energy constantly evaporate from the surface of the liquid, and the internal energy of water decreases.
