Under favorable conditions, algae can multiply by parts of a plant – a fragment of a plant is attached to the bottom with the help of rhizoids and begins an independent existence. This is how brown algae multiply.
There are few putrefactive bacteria in clean water and they cannot destroy parts of the algae.
