Why is animal husbandry prevailing in agriculture in Belarus, and agriculture in Ukraine?

Differences in agricultural specialization are due to soil and climate characteristics.
For the most part, in Ukraine, the main soil type is chernozem with a high humus content, which is favorable for growing different crops. Also in Ukraine, a significant part of the territory is steppes with an arid climate, on which there are few natural feeds for animal husbandry.
In Belarus, sod-podzolic type soils prevail, which yield relatively low yields, but more than in Ukraine, well-moistened steppes with the presence of feed for grazing.
