Why is assimilation impossible without dissimilation and vice versa?

Assimilation and dissimilation are opposite processes: in the first case, substances are formed, in the second – they are destroyed. But they are closely interconnected and impossible without each other. Indeed, if complex substances are not synthesized and stored in the cell, then there will be nothing to decay when energy is required.

Remember: The process of learning a person lasts a lifetime. The value of the same knowledge for different people may be different, it is determined by their individual characteristics and needs. Therefore, knowledge is always needed at any age and position.
