Why is it important to know the number of populations of different species?

The value of the population size is important for assessing and predicting its condition. High numbers indicate a flourishing population. Typically, thriving populations of birds and mammals include tens of thousands or more. A low population often indicates that the living conditions are unfavorable and threatened with extinction. All endangered populations are low in numbers and listed in the Red Book for conservation.

Remember: The process of learning a person lasts a lifetime. The value of the same knowledge for different people may be different, it is determined by their individual characteristics and needs. Therefore, knowledge is always needed at any age and position.
