Why is the cerebellum called the “small brain”?

Cerebellum (from the Latin cerebellum – “small brain”).
It is named so because it is similar in structure to the brain: it consists of two hemispheres, gray and white matter, gray nuclei are located among the white matter, the cerebellar cortex also has gyri.
Remember: The process of learning a person lasts a lifetime. The value of the same knowledge for different people may be different, it is determined by their individual characteristics and needs. Therefore, knowledge is always needed at any age and position.
