Why is the river narrow at the source and wide at the mouth?

On the way from source to mouth, the river collects more and more water from its catchment, its tributaries. Therefore, at the source a river can resemble a brook, and at the mouth it is much wider.
Remember: The process of learning a person lasts a lifetime. The value of the same knowledge for different people may be different, it is determined by their individual characteristics and needs. Therefore, knowledge is always needed at any age and position.
