Haploid cells are involved in sexual reproduction. If the body is not characterized by sexual reproduction, then they do not need meiosis, as a result of which haploid cells are formed.
With asexual reproduction, daughter cells and new organisms are formed by mitosis, as a result of which the chromosome set (karyotype) remains constant. Therefore, in such organisms meiosis is not observed, since it is not necessary.
