World view in the 18th century

– the usual division of the world into West and East, characteristic of the 19th and 20th centuries, was not such an obvious given for the Europeans of the 18th century.
– Allegories of the four continents were found everywhere – in sculptural ensembles of squares, gardens and parks, on paintings, engravings, geographical and playing cards, in porcelain figurines, ornaments of salon clocks, among other elements of interior and architectural decor.

Remember: The process of learning a person lasts a lifetime. The value of the same knowledge for different people may be different, it is determined by their individual characteristics and needs. Therefore, knowledge is always needed at any age and position.
