| A 2 MB file is transferred over a connection in 50 seconds. Determine the size of the file that can be transferred over the same connection in 125 seconds.
Size of the transferred file = transfer time · transfer rate. Note that the transmission time in the second case is 125/50 = 5/2 times the time in the first case. Since the file transfer rate is the same, the file size that can be transferred in the second case is also 5/2 times larger. It will be equal to 2048 * 5/2 = 5120 KB.
