An 8 MB file is transferred over a connection in 128 seconds. Determine the time in seconds it takes to transfer a 4096 KB file over the same connection.
Size of the transferred file = transfer time · transfer rate. Note that the file size in the second case is 8/4 = 2 times smaller than the file size in the first case. Since the file transfer rate is the same, the time it takes to transfer a 4096 KB file over the same connection is also half the time. It will be equal to 128/2 = 64 seconds.
