Can you see the past of the universe?

| Anyone can do this by observing the stars. The farther from us the stars or galaxies are, the longer it takes light from them and the more distant past you can look. So, we see the closest stellar group Centauri to us as it was 4.3 years ago. The Andromeda Nebula looks like it was 2.184 million years ago.
