Compare the features of the inheritance of qualitative and quantitative traits of organisms

Compare the features of the inheritance of qualitative and quantitative traits of organisms. What genes determine the development of such traits? What designation is used to give quantitative characteristics?

When inheriting qualitative traits, complementarity or suppression of a non-allelic gene by one gene is observed. When inheriting quantitative traits, they are determined by non-allelic genes acting on the same trait or property. They are denoted by the same letter, but with a number, which means different genes that are responsible for the same trait. For example, A1A1A2A2 – red grains in wheat, a1a1a2a2 – white.

Remember: The process of learning a person lasts a lifetime. The value of the same knowledge for different people may be different, it is determined by their individual characteristics and needs. Therefore, knowledge is always needed at any age and position.
