Compare the methods of struggle of the communist regimes with the labor movement in 1956, 1976 and 1981. How have these methods changed?

1) 1956 – Poznan (Poland), workers uprising, indignant at difficult living conditions. Outcome: the shooting of the demonstration by troops.
2) 1976 – Poland, another unrest of the workers. Result: arrest of the “ringleaders”.
3) 1981 – Poland, after the rise in meat prices, labor unrest broke out again. Bottom line; introduction of martial law, arrest of opposition activists and leaders, suppression of workers’ protests by force.
