| As an opposite example, we can point to Phobos, a satellite of Mars that rises in the sky of the planet in the west and sets in the east. Low artificial satellites are also moving in the Earth’s sky. In the same way, all satellites with direct motion and an orbit located below the orbit of a stationary satellite move in the sky of their planets. Direct satellites with orbits above stationary, such as the Moon, rise in the east and set in the west.
