Does the Earth rotate evenly?

The Earth slows down its rotation, which leads to an increase in the length of the day by 0.0023 seconds per century. There are also observed fluctuations in the length of the day with an annual cycle and irregular changes in the angular velocity of the Earth’s rotation with an amplitude of several thousandths of a second. The reasons for these changes are tidal friction, movement of air masses and changes in the density of matter inside the planet.
