| Find, for places lying on the earth’s equator, the height and azimuth of the luminary, at which the hour angle was observed a = 4h (hours) and its polar distance from the north pole of the world was p = 50o.
Hour angle a = 4h = 60o. Therefore, from the drawing we get: Height h = NKM = 30o.
Azimuth A = NSK = 130o West
