For an artificial Earth satellite, the horizontal coordinates remain unchanged. What conclusion can be drawn about the Earth’s rotation, inclination, eccentricity and semi-major axis of the satellite’s orbit?
The constant azimuth and altitude of the satellite means that it is a geostationary satellite. Such a satellite can only exist on a rotating planet. The orbit of the satellite is the only one for this planet, it is circular, located in the equatorial plane of the Earth.
