How are the properties of light used in art?

All forms of art use the properties of light (lighting, thermal effect of light).
Photographers, for example, shoot from a certain angle so that the shadow is visible from a certain angle, or if they photograph objects with a mirror surface, they also use light so that the reflection cannot be seen.
