If the Earth’s orbit were a circle, how would the seasons differ from those that exist in reality? How would the seasons change if the eccentricity of the earth’s orbit increased to 0.5?
1) The seasons would have the same duration.
2) Winters in the northern hemisphere would become very short and warm, and summers long but cool.
