The change of day and night is influenced by both the rotation of the ship and its entry into the vast shadow of the Earth. Obviously, the first factor can be mitigated by the presence of several windows on the ship, and the second factor may not take place at all if the orbital plane coincides with the terrestrial terminator.
Remember: The process of learning a person lasts a lifetime. The value of the same knowledge for different people may be different, it is determined by their individual characteristics and needs. Therefore, knowledge is always needed at any age and position.
