| The southern hemisphere of the sky can mainly be observed from the southern hemisphere of the Earth. The Europeans got there in the era of great navigation: in the 15-16 centuries. People who took part in such campaigns most often were without education, they did not read Greek myths. Therefore, when describing the “new” sky for them, they saw the objects that surrounded them: the details of the ship. Or exotic animals that they met in new lands.
