The weight of a body at rest is equal to the force of gravity acting on it. Why aren’t they considered the same power?

| Because the force of gravity is the force with which the Earth attracts the body (the forces of attraction), and the weight of the body is the force with which the body presses on the support or stretches it due to the attraction of the body by the Earth (the force of elasticity).
