There is a shadow and partial shade from the Earth in space. Does partial shade exist from earthly objects?

Extended light sources always give partial shade. There is partial shade from earthly objects if they are illuminated by the Sun. However, for terrestrial objects, penumbra is significantly less than the shadow and its influence is reduced only to some blurring of the edge of the shadow.
Remember: The process of learning a person lasts a lifetime. The value of the same knowledge for different people may be different, it is determined by their individual characteristics and needs. Therefore, knowledge is always needed at any age and position.
