| A feature of the structure of the digestive system of mammals is the presence of fleshy lips surrounding the mouth opening and differentiated teeth – incisors, canines and molars, as well as a well-developed cecum. Some mammals (ruminants) have a multichamber stomach. Saliva secreted into the oral cavity contains digestive enzymes.
