| The largest known meteorite is located in the Adrar Desert, at the site of the fall (West Africa). Its weight is estimated at 100,000 tons. The second largest iron meteorite Goba, weighing 60 tons, is located in South West Africa, the third, weighing 50 tons, is stored in New York. The mass of the found fragments of the Sikhote-Alin meteorite reaches 28 tons.
